Crispy Corn Pone

1 cup corn meal
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup boiling water
2 tsp oil

1.  Place cornmeal and salt in a bowl.
2.  Add boiling water and stir to form a stiff dough.
3.  Dip hands in cold water.  Mold dough into 2 flat oval cakes about 1/2 inch thick.
4.  Place on a well-greased shallow baking pan.  Brush with water.
5.  Bake at 450 degrees for 20 minutes. 
6.  Cool and break into pieces.
